VCP’s area of activity is particularly sensitive to sustainability issues. The strategic orientation for the handling of these issues in the daily routine of the Company is to create differentiated value for different audiences and for society. The notion that it is not possible to build a healthy company provoking socioenvironmental costs – which accentuate social inequalities and environmental problems – is essential to drive the work of each collaborator.
Dealing with sustainability does not mean promoting the adaptation of processes and practices to certain legal or normative standards, but facing socioenvironmental dilemmas associated with business. Rather than just passing on the message to its audiences that it needs to be in conformity, the objective is to reinforce the idea that, to be differentiated, a company needs to think and act in a differentiated manner. In other words, it needs to think and act in line with major contemporary problems and with the desires of society. This is the identity that VCP wishes to have.
Sustainability, to VCP, involves the creation of value with strategic audiences, as well as the management of economic, social and environmental impacts resulting from its operations, the promotion of human rights and participation in sustainable development efforts in the areas of influence of the Organization.
